Congrats to Brie & Liva on their their rank promotion tests on Sunday.Good work both of you.
Thank you also to everyone for participated in the test and gave them a platform to demonstrate their skills.
Once again, not only did we celebrate the hard work of Brie and Liva but we also experienced community, a coming together of people with shared interests centered on the dojo and that makes me happy. A dojo is not a physical space, it is a generated space, created out of people… and Sunday I saw that and it makes me proud.

It is with great pleasure that I invite you and the MIT Community to the rank promotion test of Brie Avendano and Liva Olina for Yonkyu/Greenbelt in Eizan Ryu Jujitsu. The test will be held during normal class times on Sunday. Class starts at 3pm and we will have a regular start to class, get warmed up and ready for the test. About 4pm we will switch over and start the test. If you have trained with us before you are welcome to participate in the first half and if you train with us regularly, participate in the test. If you are joining us on the mat and have a white gi, please wear it, jacket and pants. This is a formal event. Feel free to bring friends and supporters. We will arrange for an area for an audience to be seated.
